Introduction
If a user is assigned to the wrong group in LocusView, they may not be able to see jobs for the correct region. In LocusView, a division may also be referred to as a group. This article explains how to request a user group update so the support team can make the necessary change.
When to request a group update
Request a group update when a user needs access to jobs in a different group than the one currently assigned in the system. Common examples include [Group name 1], [Group name 2], and [Group name 3].
Information needed
To process the request, provide the following details to support:
- User account ID or username
- Desired group name
How to request the update
- Identify the user whose group needs to be changed.
- Confirm the correct group name for the user.
- Send the user account ID or username and the desired group name to the support team.
- Wait for support to complete the update in the system.
- Have the user sign out and sign back in if the change does not appear right away.
What happens next
The support team will update the user's group in LocusView. Changes may take a few minutes to take effect before the user can see the correct jobs.
